Oral traditions and oral literature have long contributed to human communication. The advent of arguably the most important technology, the written word, altered human ability to create and develop. Abstract:
Primary cell culture is limited by the increase in cellular levels of p16INK4a in response to an in vitro culture environment and, in conjunction with telomere shortening following cell division, presents a barrier to cellular proliferation. The use of transformed cell lines is limited for studies wherein the aim is to generate data akin to an in vivo environment as commonly such cell lines achieve their immortal benefits by down regulating important tumour suppressive mechanisms and inhibiting cell cycle checkpoints. Normal Human Oral Keratinocyte (NHOK) cells expressing shp16+hTERT were gene

Para tanto, ela se divide em três partes principais. Na primeira, com base em relatos de viagem, foram identificados embates discursivos entre o narrador e o viajante. A partir desses embates, foi demonstrado como, durante a performance, a presença do auditório exige do narrado

Abstract:
This thesis examines the impact of urbanisation on Zimbabwean culture, particularly the Shona culture as it is represented in Zimbabwean literature. My main argument in this thesis is that Zimbabwean literature suggests that urbanisation is harmful and destructive to the Shona culture and the way of life of the Shona people.

Abstract:
Animal experimentation has been extensively and for a long time applied in several research fields, but since 2011 it has been substantially limited by the Commission of the European Parliament to ensure people/animals safety and reduce research costs. To respond to these directives, many attempts have been focused on the development and validation of new in vitro 3D systems, bypassing the traditional 2D cell cultures. In this regard, diverse approaches to tissue-engineered bone and oral mucosa have been developed. Despite the promising premises and the cutting-edge results, the used 3D in vit

Urban Aboriginal students often come to school with a different set of cultural and language learnings than those of their non- indigenous peers. These differences can pose major barriers for the primary- aged Aboriginal student trying to access the curriculum which is based on Standard Australian English (SAE). Aboriginal students often come to school speaking a recognised dialect of English, Aboriginal English (AE) which has its own grammatical, phonological, pragmatic and socio- cultural standards which at times are quite different from those of classroom language interactions.
