Job stress has been associated with lower levels of job satisfaction in the workplace, and the economic performance of organizations is directly affected by employee job satisfaction. Five job stressors in particular (work-home conflict, invasion of privacy, work overload, role ambiguity, and job insecurity) have been shown to contribute the most to job stress.
