Abstract:

Mobile technology has been identified as a potential solution to the problem of scarcity of computers to access online learning materials in higher education institutions. The University of Venda distributed tablet personal computers to students so that they could use them for facilitating and enhancing their studies. However, the provision of tablet PCs to students may not be a panacea for quality learning

The use of new technologies to motivate primary students through storytelling This new generation in the 21st century has made me question about how to respond to nowadays’ changes in teaching and how teachers can create an effective and affective lesson with their students. Storytelling is an endless resource to try to motivate students in class but this new generation is more interested into new technologies, so in order to motivate primary students, contribute to moral awareness when students are learning English I felt the need to show a different approach. Abstract:
This dissertation investigated the bottom-up technology transmission process in a country with varied levels of technology diffusion, such as Chile. In particular, I explored how children act as technology brokers within their families by influencing their parents' adoption of and learning about digital media, so as to include older generations in the digital environment. In order to do this, I measured to what extent this process occurs, I proposed a typology of factors that intervene in the process and analyzed the outcomes variables related to the phenomenon. Methodologically, I used a mixe

The use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in early childhood education (ECE) is controversial. Currently, ICT in ECE is experiencing a second wave of popularity. While many of the recurring debates exist around the use of technology in the education sector it would appear that ICT is here to stay. A distinguishing feature of the literature across both waves is a growing appreciation of the importance of pedagogy and the key role of the teacher. This thesis builds on this broad concept of pedagogy by investigating the growth of ICT in ECE. The aim of the study was to discover

Abstract:
Many low-income countries desire to implement and adopt digital government as a springboard for economic and social development but face many challenges. The United Nations identifies that Africa has especially lagged consistently in digital government development and adoption. Most scholars largely attribute the challenges to infrastructure and skills, and often rhetorically cite culture as playing a strong role. This study specifically examined the role of indigenous African culture (‘spirituality’, ‘communalism’ and ‘respect for authority and elders’) and internet access on the adoption of

Abstract:
Mobile applications are an important but fast changing piece of the digital forensics’ world. For mobile forensics researchers and field analysts, it is hard to keep up with the pace of the ever-changing world of the newest and most popular applications teens are using. Mobile forensic tools are quickly becoming more and more supportive of new applications, but with how quickly apps are changing and new ones being released, it is still difficult for the tools to keep up. The research question for this project examines to what extent digital forensic tools support new and emerging applications
