Abstract:
The article, based on the material of a wide body of texts, shows the key aspects of the image of the Smolensk region in K. Simonov's work. For the first time, in addition to literary texts and diaries, military journalism and a screenplay are used to identify ideological and thematic unity in the author's work. The image of the Smolensk region was formed by Simonov during the Great Patriotic War and includes stable, repeatedly repeated motives and situations in various works.
