Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the most frequent infectious diseases around the world that caused by uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC). Uropathogenic-specific protein (usp) is homologous to the Vibrio cholerae zonula occludens toxin gene wich is found in all common serogroups of UPEC. this study was performed to detect the distribution of usp and antibiotic resistance properties in E. coli strains isolated from patients with UTIs. For this purpose, samples were collected from patients and the strains which were biochemically confirmed as E. coli- positive used for detection of usp

The heterogeneity of the causes of breast cancer and these complex gene interactions that characterize this neoplasm present significant challenges to understanding and treating the disease. This study is motivated by the need to identify interconnected networks of breast cancer genes, specifically those that represent conditional independence relationships. To construct these networks, we propose the use of the Fast Step Graph algorithm, which belongs to the family of sparse, high-dimensional Gaussian Graphical Models, applied to the PAM50 gene expression dataset. It is known that meat productivity and meat quality in cattle are determined not only by paratypic, but also by genetic factors, therefore, the use of genetic markers is relevant and promising. The aim of the study was to determine gene polymorphism of growth hormone receptor (GHR) and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) and to carry out genetic and statistical analysis in a sample of young cattle (steers) of beef cattle of Kazakh white-headed breed. The allelic spectrum of the genes under study was determined by PCR-PDRF method. Research showed that in this sample of animals, the following gen

The use of CRISPR/Cas9 has been successfully applied in various plant species to induce targeted genome editing, including soybean. Soybean is recalcitrant to transformation and thus, plants with stable CRISPR gene edits are costly and take a long time to produce. Moreover, soybean is allotetraploid and editing paralogous genes are often necessary to obtain observable phenotype(s). For each gene target, we designed two gRNAs to increase editing efficiency and allow rapid genotyping by PCR. We also tested the CRISPR reagents in transient hairy root transformation to determine if the Cas9 and gR

Leguminous forage crops are high in proteins but deficient in S- amino acids. It has been shown that both wool quality and milk production can be limited by the post-ruminal supply of sulfur-containing amino acids. Efforts to use conventional plant breeding and cell selection techniques to increase the S-amino acid content of alfalfa have met with little success. With the objective to increase the S-amino acid content of forage legumes, the goal of this project was to co- express the methionine rich zein genes from corn along with a gene for a key enzyme in methionine biosynthesis, aspartate k

Our focus is on two different components of yield associated traits - shoot architecture and organization of the inflorescence. Our focus was on two types of regulators; 1) genes involved in florigen - antiflogen balance and the way they impact the shoot, and 2) genes involved in inflorescence branching and it this
