Bima Sandstone at Wuro-Dole and environs was studied for its level of maturity and source area (provenance). In evaluating its textual maturity and provenance, field mapping was carried out and representative samples were subjected to physico-chemical and mineralogical analyses. The sandstone consists of some primary sedimentary structures:cross-beddings and ripple marks. The Upper Benue Trough is part of the Benue Trough of Nigeria and is comprised of three basins: the east–west trending Yola Basin (Yola Arm), the north–south trending Gongola Basin (Gongola Arm) and the northeast–southwest trending Lau Basin (Main Arm). This research is an ongoing research at understanding the structural framework of the Upper Benue Trough using several techniques including the use of Remote Sensing and GIS. Several digital image enhancement techniques such as general contrast stretching and edge enhancement were applied to the NigeriaSat-X and SPOT 5 image in ERDAS IMAGINE 9.

The investigation involve the analysis of lineraments and spectral analysis of total ­intensity magnetic field data over the Longuda Plateau and environs, Guyuk area. The total magnetic field map exhibit direction of NE-SW and E-W lineraments. The NE-SW lineraments coincide with Longuda basalts while the E-W coincide with the Yola arm of Benue Trough. The yolk proteins (YPs) in <i>Drosophila</i> have been shown to enter the oocyte via receptor mediated endocytosis (Mahowald, 1972; Butterworth <i>et al</i>., 1991). The YPs are sorted and specifically stored in the α-granules of the oocyte (Mahowald and Kambysellis, 1980). The present study sought to more rigourously explore outcomes of psychological well-being immediately following a psychotherapeutic yoga class. Specifically, the study hypothesized improvements in state anxiety and subjective well-being as well as an observable relationship between state and trait mindfulness following a yoga intervention, all while controlling for differences between yoga instructors, prior yoga experience, and participant endorsements of psychological symptoms.
