Abstract Connecting storm-sewers located at rather different elevations may be made with vortex drop shafts in which the energy dissipation is made by the friction between the vertical shaft and the flow and downstream by the impinging jet in a dissipation chamber. Following the first model design in the 1940s, different types of vortex drop shafts have been developed. One of the most used type is the so-called spiral vortex drop shaft developed to work in supercritical flow with good performance in both energy dissipation and space constrains. In this paper, an experimental flow characterization in a spiral vortex drop shaft is conducted covering the three main components of these structures, namely the inlet channel, the vertical shaft and the dissipation chamber. The results include measurement of water depths, pressure and velocity.

Анотація:
For a positive displacement motor (PDM), the threaded joint connecting drive shaft shell (DSS) and universal shaft shell that is close to the bit is inclined to fracture. In this paper, elastic-plastic fracture performance of the threaded connection is simulated under both make-up torque and bending moment. Firstly, an FE model, which includes a cracked external thread of the DSS and an engaging internal thread of the universal shaft shell, is established and validated. Secondly, influences of both plastic deformation and the helix angle on fracture properties of the cracked thread are evaluated quantitatively. Meanwhile interactions between two cracks are also discussed. Finally, under the two kinds of loading conditions, i.e. loaded by pre-load only and loaded by both pre-load and bending moment, explicit relationships between characteristic J-integrals and the crack depth are obtained for the DSS.

The model is more accurate. The analysis of ideas can be widely applied to the similar finite element contact analysis.

The master thesis deals with the design of a single-cylinder diesel piston internal combustion test engine by modifying the initial mass-produced three-cylinder engine. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the introduction to the problems of diesel and experimental single cylinder engines. Subsequent chapters focus on the adaptation of the baseline engine itself, including balancing of inertial forces. Furthermore, the crankshaft operability is checked, including the determination of safety against high-cycle fatigue. The last chapter deals with the design of the connection of the adapted unit to the dynamometer.

Slotborer är benämningen på en ny maskinprototyp som skall användas för att i gruvor borra och utvinna platina. För att erhålla ett visst borrdjup skarvas borrpipor vilket åstadkoms med en gängkoppling. Detta arbete har haft som syfte att utveckla en ny koppling för dessa pipor då konstruktionen med gängor har visat sig vara problematisk. Ett antal koncept genererades varefter det mest lovande, enligt diskussion med kund och Pughs beslutsmatriser, valdes för vidareutveckling. Detta valda koncept var en typ av bajonettkoppling som förfinades och det gjordes en 3D CAD-modell samt mer detaljerade analyser av kopplingens hållfasthet. Analytiskt med grundläggande hållfasthetslära visades kopplingens mest påkända delar ha Von Mises effektivspänningar på 230 MPa vid normal borrning, 360 MPa vid maxeffektsborrning och 605 MPa vid dragande borrning med maxeffekt. Kontakttryck i kopplingen analyserades enligt Hertz kontaktteori och uppgick i maximalt 2,6 GPa, 3,3 GPa och 4,5 GPa för respektive lastfall. En FEM-analys gjordes där lokala effektivspänningar upptäcktes vara i storleksordningarna 300 MPa, 500 MPa och 1200 MPa för respektive lastfall. Konceptutvecklingen och analysen pekar på att konstruktionen är lämplig för vidare detaljerad konstruktion.
Slotborer is a new machine prototype that is used for excavating platina in underground mines. To drill holes with desired depths there are several drill pipes that are bonded as the hole is drilled deeper with a threaded connection. This work have had the purpose of designing a new connection for these drill pipes as the thread design have shown to be problematic. A number of concepts were generated after which the most preferred, according to customer discussions and Pugh decision matrices, was chosen for further development and refinement. The chosen concept for development was a type of bayonet coupling and a more detailed 3D CAD model and analysis of the coupling strength were made. Analytical solid mechanics showed that the most heavily loaded parts of the coupling experienced effective Von Mises stresses of 230 MPa for normal drilling, 360 MPa for heavy drilling and 605 MPa for heavy back reaming. Contact pressures were analyzed with Hertzian contact theory and the maximum values of these were shown to be 2.6 GPa, 3.3 Gpa and 4.5 GPa for the respective load cases. An FE analysis made showed higher local effective stresses that was of the magnitude of 300 MPa, 500 MPa and 1200 MPa for the respective load cases. The conclusion of the concept development and analysis points out that the design is suitable for further detailed design.

At the beginning are described current welding methods of the turbine wheel and shaft connections as well as methods of the compressor wheel and shaft connections. Four possible concepts were designed and evaluated, and the best concept was chosen. For this concept was calculated tightening torque and concept was evaluated in terms of turbocharger operating conditions.

Der Vortrag beschreibt, wie mittels des Kontaktmodells mit endlicher Reibung in Creo Simulate 3.0 ein Schwungrad mit axial verschraubtem mit Kegel-Presssitz berechnet werden kann. Da in Creo Simulate 3.0 des Softwareentwicklers PTC das Kontaktmodell mit endlicher Reibung nur für die Theorie großer Verformungen implementiert ist, nicht jedoch für einfache Analysen mit kleinen Deformationen, muss der Anwender einige softwareseitige Einschränkungen geschickt umgehen. Es werden Vorgehensweisen vorgeschlagen, wie der Anwender dies bewerkstelligen kann. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Modellierung von Schrauben sowie der Einstellung der Schraubenvorspannung. Rechenergebnisse des Programms werden mit analytischen Lösungen verglichen.
The presentation describes how to analyze a flywheel with axially bolted hub-shaft- connection using a conical press fit with help of the finite friction contact model in Creo Simulate 3.0. Since Creo Simulate 3.0 from PTC offers a finite friction contact model implementation just for large displacement analysis, but not for simple analyses with small displacements, the user has to work around a couple of code specific limitations. Best practices are proposed how to do this. Special attention is paid on bolt modeling and preload adjustment. Analysis results are compared with analytical solutions.

Zur sicheren und zugleich wirtschaftlichen Auslegung derartiger Verbindungen unter zyklischen Lasten fehlen generell gültige sowie abgesicherte normative Vorgaben bzw. Richtlinien für den Anwender. Insbesondere ist dies dann zutreffend, wenn Geometrien vorkommen, für welche keine Tabellen- bzw. Erfahrungswerte existieren. In dieser Arbeit werden ausführliche experimentelle Untersuchungen zur Ermüdungsfestigkeit von Pressverbindungen einer Standardgeometrie vorgestellt. Im Fokus der Untersuchungen steht die Dauer-, Zeit- und Betriebsfestigkeit der biege- sowie torsionsbelasteten Verbindung. Auf Basis der erzielten Festigkeiten und Lebensdauerwerte erfolgt die Ableitung normspezifischer Kennwerte für die Praxis. Weiterhin steht die Übertragung der erzielten Ergebnisse auf andere Pressverbindungs-Geometrien, wie beispielsweise die Verbindung mit Wellenabsatz, im Vordergrund. Hierbei wird das Verhalten hinsichtlich der Kerbwirkung im Vergleich zu gekerbten Wellen sowie zu anderen reibdauerbeanspruchten Verbindungen untersucht. Zudem erfolgt eine ausführliche Analyse simulationsspezifischer Einflussgrößen auf die Beanspruchungshöhe der Pressverbindung. Auf Grundlage dieser Erkenntnisse wird ein neues Auslegungskonzept erarbeitet und an Ergebnissen aus der Literatur gespiegelt.

Анотація:
Durch die zunehmende technologische Entwicklung des Getriebe-, Gelenkwellen-, Werkzeugmaschinen-, Kraftfahrzeug-, sowie Landmaschinenbaus steigen die zu übertragenden Leistungen und Drehmomente enorm. Dies führt zu einem wachsenden Bedarf an formschlüssigen Profilwellenverbindungen und deren erhöhter Lebensdauer und Genauigkeit. Hierbei bilden die Zahnwellenverbindungen (ZWVen) mit Evolventenflanken nach DIN 5480 /N1/ den Regelfall für eine Vielzahl der Anwendung. Abhängig von Festigkeitsüberlegungen, Herstellungsverfahren und Platzbedarf treten in der Praxis nahezu ausschließlich die folgenden zwei Grundtypen auf. Es handelt sich dabei zum Ersten um die Zahnwelle (ZW) mit freiem Auslauf.Die zweite Geometrievariante ist die Zahnwelle mit gebundenem Auslauf, die eine nach DIN 471 /N2/ genormte Sicherungsringnut (SRN) enthalten kann. Zahnwellenverbindungen dienen zur Übertragung großer, wechselnder und stoßartiger Drehmomente ohne zusätzliches Verbindungselement durch die Profilierung der Welle und Nabe. Axiale Verschiebbarkeit unter Last, Profilverschiebungsmöglichkeit, einfache Montage und Demontage sowie die Herstellung mit hochleistungsfähigen umformenden und spanenden Massenfertigungsverfahren, die die Herstellungskosten verhältnismäßig niedrig halten, sind technisch bedeutsame Eigenschaften, die zum ansteigenden Einsatz von ZWVen führen (z.B. /N1/, /Vil84/, /Koh86/ und /Wes96/). Starke Kerbwirkung und erhebliche Überdimensionierung benachbarter Gestaltungszonen sind die wesentlichen Schwachpunkte der Profilverbindungen. Eine große Anzahl (ca. 80 %) von Ausfällen im Maschinenbau ist auf Schäden an Achsen und Wellen infolge konstruktiv bedingter Kerben zurückzuführen (z.B. /N3/ und /Hai89/). Speziell im Bereich der hochbeanspruchten Profilwellen-Verbindungen kommt es auf Grund der starken Querschnittsveränderungen und der häufig angewandten Ausläufe und Formelemente, z. B. Zahn- und Keilwellen zu Kerbwirkungen, die erhebliche örtliche Spannungskonzentrationen sowohl im Zahnfußbereich und Zahnlückenauslauf als auch im Bereich der Verbindung selbst verursachen. Diese Beanspruchungskonzentrationen sind fast in der Hälfte aller Zahnwellenbrüche die häufigste Ursache für Dauerbrüche (Ermüdungs- bzw. Schwingungsbrüche) und für Schäden (bleibende Verformung, Anriss, Gewaltbruch) infolge Maximalbelastung. Hier trifft die Lastüberhöhung am Welle-Nabe-Verbindungsrand mit dem Steifigkeitssprung des Verzahnungsendes auf der Welle zusammen /Die93/. Die erwähnten Schadensfälle belegen, dass der heutige Kenntnisstand über eine beanspruchungsgerechte Auslegung von Zahnwellen noch recht lückenhaft ist. Deshalb sind neue Erkenntnisse über Form- bzw. Kerbwirkungszahlen bei Einzel- und Mehrfachkerben von scharf und weniger scharf gekerbten Zahnwellen mit Auslauf für eine treffsichere Festigkeitsberechnung erforderlich und stellen damit die Hauptschwerpunkte dieser Arbeit dar. Das vorliegende Forschungsprojekt, welches sich erstmals mit der Ermittlung der Beanspruchungen in torsions-, und biegebelasteten Zahnwellen mit freiem und gebundenem Auslauf befasst, wurde im Rahmen der Forschungsvereinigung für Antriebstechnik e.V. (FVA) unter der Nummer T 467 und dem Forschungsthema „ Ermittlung der Kerbwirkung bei Profilwellen für die praktische Getriebeberechnung von Zahnwellen“ initiiert und untersucht.

In this Master thesis, microwave connections between circuit boards are constructed. The primary frequency band is the X-band (8-12 GHz). The purpose of the connections is to enable a more simple and cheaper way of mounting the circuit boards inside a container.

The connections have been designed and evaluated, using different computer programs. A few prototypes have been built and measured.

The main goal of this Master thesis was to design a connection, that would be useful in practice. The connections should be easy to manufacture and have a good performance. They should also have a high tolerance for manufacturing errors.

The main part of this report contains descriptions of different designs. The designs are presented together with simulated and measured results.

The report contains designs based upon coplanar waveguides and a phase shifting technique. The result shows that designs that are using coplanar waveguides are good. The phase shifting technique has some limitations and need to be developed further.

Over the last 70 years, Holocaust representations increased significantly as cultural objects distributed on a large scale: fictional books, museum sites, artworks, documentaries, and films are only a few samples of those echoes the Holocaust produced in contemporary Western culture. There are some specific patterns in the way the Holocaust has been represented that, however, contrast with the survivors’ account of the same event: for example, the dichotomy between bad and good characters so essential within Holocaust-based media – especially on television and film - does not really match with the testimony’s experience. While storytelling strategies may help to involve the public by emotionally engaging with the story, the risks of altering the real meaning of the Holocaust are quite high: what we often label as a “story” is actually been an outrageous, documented mass-genocide. Furthermore, as the age gap between the present and the past generation progresses, also the collective awareness of Nazi crimes as a real fact gets compromised. This volume explores selected Holocaust narrations by contextualizing the historical, literary, and social influences those texts had in their unique points of view. Starting with some recent examples of Holocaust exploitation through social media, the first chapter explores the paradigm shift when the Holocaust became a cultural, fictional trend rather than a historical massacre. In the second chapter, the analysis examines postmodern representations of Holocaust and Nazi semantics through relevant examples taken from both American and European literature. The third chapter analyses Europe Central by William T. Vollman, as all the narratological and cultural issues considered in the previous two chapters are well outlined in this articulated novel, where the relationship between reality and its representation after the postmodernist period is largely investigated. In chapter four, an account is given of the connections and differences between the narratological category romance, as understood by Northrop Frye, and Holocaust narration features. In chapter five, those elements are used to consider the work of Italian Holocaust survivor and Jewish writer Primo Levi, as his narration around Auschwitz adopts some fictional tools and still refuses undemanding storytelling mechanisms. The sixth and final chapter examines the relevant novel Les Benviellants by Jonathan Littell, considering its Nazi genocide account through the antagonist’s perspective.

This chapter demonstrates how Judson's management empire began to plateau in the 1940s. The Depression had rattled music's funding structures. Technology had spawned greater competition for live musical experiences. Jazz had supplanted classical music on the pages of many newspapers and trade magazines. But particularly relevant for Judson was an emerging concern about the connection between music and big business. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) first raised this issue in 1938, when it launched an investigation into the chain-broadcasting practices of the NBC, CBS, and mutual radio networks. The commission also became concerned about the possibility of monopolistic behavior, specifically in the practice of networks representing artists and also buying artists for their radio programs.

The American Civil War marked a watershed moment in the history of southern agriculture. Throughout the antebellum period, the Cotton Kingdom’s geographic boundaries remained relatively limited. After the war, however, the diversity of the antebellum agricultural landscape disappeared. Landowners, yeomen, and recently freed slaves in all areas of the South invested heavily in cotton cultivation, often accruing enormous debts to do so. But why did postwar southern farmers rely on continuous cotton cultivation? What caused such a fundamental shift in attitudes toward self-sufficiency in farming areas known for their relative crop diversity? Why did poor whites and emancipated blacks grow cotton at the expense of everything else despite shrinking financial incentives? The introduction surveys the way this book answers those questions: by connecting postwar agricultural shifts to the ecological legacies of the Civil War and emancipation.

This introduction surveys views of the prophet and prophecy from patristic and early medieval teachings to the eve of the Protestant reformations. Christian leaders across the church’s history simultaneously affirmed understandings of prophecy as foretelling and prophecy as interpretation of Scripture, with a growing emphasis on the latter and a continued emphasis on the role of revelation in both forms. Whereas Augustine’s teachings concerning prophecy tended to restrain apocalyptic expectation, the teachings of Joachim of Fiore introduced a radical shift in connecting biblical prophecy directly with human history. Consequently, on the eve of the Protestant reformations, late medieval conceptions of prophecy paved the way for increasing expectation of a figure who would usher in a new age. All the while early-modern Catholic leaders continued to affirm the ongoing contemporary function of prophecy, even as they sought to constrain such apocalyptic fervor.

This chapter explores the recent shift that has occurred in bioethics away from the pursuit of objectivity or truth. Instead, the emphasis has increasingly been on narrative ethics, an approach that argues for a view of ethics as being primarily local and contingent. The chapter begins by outlining the central features of narrative ethics, explaining both the conception of narrative as the grounds for moral principles and the connections between narrative ethics and postmodernism. The chapter then outlines some problems that arise for the method of narrative ethics, such as the threat of subjectivism and the dangers of fetishizing “little narratives” at the expense of broader social understanding and critique.

AbstractOrganized crime (OC) groups in Kyrgyzstan have reached a level where they are competing with governmental authorities and institutions. Leaders of OC groups can assign members of their groups into law enforcement positions and parliament. It is safe to claim that the absence of rule of law and legal gaps encourage organized crime groups to flourish. From an economic point of view, privatization and capitalization of the economic system in the process of democratization have been in the interest and favor of the development of criminal organizations. Organized crime gangs can easily fill their chests by benefiting from the legal gaps. For instance, all the jewelry store owners at the major markets in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan pay fees to an OC gang for their safety and security. Small business owners have been taken under control by organized crime to resolve economic disputes or just because they are in their area of control. Moreover, gangs and groups operating in the South Kyrgyzstan, as well as in Talas and Bishkek, deal with drug trafficking. The cultural aspect of this issue focuses on the importance of the clan ties and network connections in Kyrgyzstan and its use by organized crime. The networking used by the OC also includes utilization of the Internet and social media, consequently it became difficult to counter them during the process of globalization and the whole of society being integrated with the internet and social media, the fight against organized crime has become more difficult. Challenging existing socio-cultural structures, to increase law enforcement and combat clan-based subculture and informal law practices, such as the “thieves” “laws” and “brotherhood hierarchies” of organized crime, have been an almost impossible endeavor over the past 30 years. Consequently, breaking the network of OC and destroying its nationwide functions is a challenge, not only in Kyrgyzstan but in many post-soviet countries.

Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVTs) can be used to optimize the energy utilization of systems by allowing the prime mover to operate at speeds of peak efficiency while allowing the driven components to move at desired speeds. A CVT saves energy by reducing the off-peak efficiency of a system. The basic design principles of a Continuously Variable Transmission composed of a sequence of 4-bar cranks are discussed. The vector solution for 4-bar cranks is iteratively solved for a crank sequence to illustrate how different output speeds can be obtained from the same input speed. This is accomplished by varying the length of the connecting link on each 4-bar crank in the sequence. Solutions are plotted. Each 4-bar crank is located on the same drive shaft and the same driven shaft. Each crank has the same drive link length and the same driven crank length. A one way clutch located on each driven link transmits motion to the driven shaft. The cranks are positioned so that they are out of phase with each other so that only the fastest crank transmits motion, over-running all the other cranks. For a given length of the connecting link, the motion of the driven shaft is not uniform. This is due to the 4-bar crank transmission of peak speed. As one 4-bar crank moves, at some point the angular speed of the driven link will overtake the speed of the driven link on the other crank sets. It will then peak and then slow to be overtaken by another crank-set. The more evenly distributed crank-sets used the more uniform the motion will be. In this sense, a given length of connecting link for the sequence of cranks will generate an average drive shaft speed. If the length of the connecting link in a 4-bar crank is changed, a change in motion of the driven shaft will occur. By changing the length of the connecting link on the 4-bar cranks, the average speed of the driven shaft can be changed. A CVT is made by infinitesimally changing the length of the connecting link. This infinitesimal change is easily accomplished via standard components such as pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders or various other means.

The investigation consisted of an experimental study into the effect of a cavity connecting the upper and lower surfaces of an aerofoil on the flow over the aerofoil. Such cavities are considered for locating a Lift Engine within an aircraft to provide Vertical Short Take-Off and Landing (V/STOL) capability. Whilst the concept of a Lift Engine has undergone considerable research in recent years, there remains a need to investigate transitional flight, where the provision of lift changes from the wing aerodynamics to the Lift Engine. Within this range, it is important to understand the aerodynamic effect of the cavity. The experiments were carried out at various angles of attack and freestream velocities to enable both the static pressure field over the aerofoil and around the cavity, and the velocity and direction of the air through the cavity to be characterised.

An advanced reciprocating internal combustion engine without a crankshaft and connecting rod mechanisms that the author would like to present is based on another law of physics. The invention titled ‘Nano-Magneto-Rheological Mechatronic Commutator Internal Combustion Engine’, that is concisely termed the Fijalkowski engine by someone, is based on a whole new propulsion engineering solution that has no analogies in the world. Thus, this paper focuses on an advanced reciprocating internal combustion engine termed the Fijalkowski engine, which may utilize a nano-magneto-rheological mechatronic commutator that may replace the crankshaft and connecting rod (conrod) mechanisms. This mechatronic commutator may let nano-magneto-rheological rotary ratchets oscillate in a controlled wobble while keeping the output shaft spinning smoothly; and although opposed pistons and opposed cylinders similar to those in automotive ‘boxer’ engines may power the Fijalkowski engine, it may also utilize opposed cylinders containing four pairs of two end-to-end opposed pistons for higher power densities. The nano-magneto-rheological mechatronic commutator may be utilized to convert between one form of mechanical motion that is linear, reciprocating motion of pistons and another — that is rotary motion of the output shaft.

A reamer bolt is commonly used when clamping a rigid shaft coupling subjected to large shear force. Although some joint design procedures assume that the applied shear force transmits only through the reamer surface, it is also supported by the friction force on the contact surfaces. Accordingly, to design the coupling clamped by reamer bolts, it is important to evaluate the ratio of the shear forces supported by the reamer surface and the friction force, which is defined as shear force transfer ratio (SFTR) here. In this study, distributions of SFTR and the bending stresses along the reamer surface are analyzed by three-dimensional FEM, focusing on the effects of the fit between the reamer bolt and bolt hole, the scatter of initial bolt stress and the misalignment of the connecting shafts. Numerical results quantitatively clarify how the amounts of the SFTR and the bending stresses as the friction coefficients, the fit and the magnitude of misalignment are changed. As for an offset misalignment, it is found that its effect on the bending moment generated in the shaft body is negligibly small, if the offset between two shafts in radial direction is less than 10mm which is 1% of the total shaft length.

A mode synthesis method used in the dynamic analysis of multi-shaft rotor-bearing system has been developed in this paper. By introducing the idea of connecting springs and dampers, and using gyroscopic modes instead of complex modes in the mode synthesis, this method differs not only from classical component mode synthesis method, but also from complex mode synthesis. Several numerical examples show the advantages of this method.

With water lubricated shafts, the point of sealing the shaft needed to be positioned for access and that required a connecting tube to the sealing gland location. With oil lubricated bearings, a tube was required to contain the oil. As more ships are now being fitted with water lubricated bearings, the need for the ubiquitous stern tube becomes questionable. This paper will address the potential for fundamental design changes to vessel construction from the perspective of material cost reduction and the simplification of ship-building procedures, based on elimination of the stern tube. As propulsion systems evolve into increasingly complex packages this initiative toward simplification may have appeal.

Nowadays, there are more works focused on the design and implementation of space mechanics under harsh environmental conditions, such as absence of a gravitational field. Precisely, the reliability and life of space mechanical components is still not adequate. Therefore, the deep-space exploration brings a challenge on lubrication system of space equipment. Centrifugal lubricators, oozing flow lubricators, wick feed systems and porous lubricant reservoirs are most common liquid lubrication systems used in space devices. But the oil amount is not sufficient. Additionally, it is needed to develop efficient supplementary lubrication systems to achieve future long-term space missions since the lacking of oil. In this paper, we propose liquid lubricating bearing system with built-in oil storage chamber for conquering lacking of oil. We also build the theoretical models for through vibration displacement and frequency of rolling element, bending deformation and vibration frequency of the elastomeric shaft, and the radiation energy of chamber’s inner surface respectively. These models are evaluated by numerical simulations. We tested and measured some parameters of oil flowing in system. The simulation and experimental results indicate that, 1) the rolling element has a through vibration displacement when bearing running; 2) the micro deformation and vibration of the elastomeric shaft are caused by the through vibration displacement; 3) the vibration energy of elastomeric shaft is transmitted to lubricating oil stored in chamber. Overall, the oil could be supplied to bearing race and friction surface through connecting oil hole drilled in the elastomeric shaft. The oil flowing performance varies with the diameter and inclination angle of the connecting oil hole.

Анотація:
For the usage in variable speed wind turbines, a novel transmission mechanism with steady-speed output is proposed in this study. The proposed mechanism, named as independently controllable transmission (ICT), can produce a required angular velocity at the output shaft, which is independently manipulated by a controller and does not depend on the angular velocity of the input shaft. By applying the ICT mechanism to the variable speed wind power systems, the turbine fluctuation can be overcome and a constant speed can be provided for the input shaft of the generator. The ICT mechanism is fundamentally composed of two sets of planetary gear trains and two sets of transmission-connecting members. Four prototypes of the ICT mechanisms are installed to experiment their kinematical characteristics and to demonstrate their feasibility of engineering application.
